Since 2026, I have been leading the continued development of Focus on Influence, after having worked with the program as a trainer for five years. In doing so, I am building on a program that has been successfully delivered across a wide range of national and international organizations for more than 25 years. For many years, the program was developed within Parresia. Building on this strong foundation, I continue to develop both Focus on Influence and Focus on Leadership, ensuring they remain relevant to the challenges and dynamics of today’s workplace.
I am collaborating with a trusted network of senior trainers and professionals. Depending on the specific needs, we bring in the expertise that best matches the participants, team, or organization.
The Story behind Focus on Influence
The program has its roots in the work of Erik Boers and Nico Swaan, authors of Making Connections (Het gesprek aangaan), and in their collaboration within the international Learning Consortium network. It was in this context that the ideas, models, and methods underpinning Focus on Influence first took shape.
Over the years, the program was further developed, delivered, and refined across a wide range of organizations and contexts, including through Het Nieuwe Trivium and Parresia.
In 2026, Erica Koch and Erik Boers entrusted the program to me. Since then, I have continued to shape and develop it, together with a network of experienced trainers and professionals.
